Strategic Planning Committee Resources (login required)Andrew J. Gerber, MD, PhD is an adult and child and adolescent psychiatrist and serves as President and Medical Director of Silver Hill Hospital, a private non-profit psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. Dr. Gerber is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center and at Columbia University. Dr. Gerber’s interests lie in designing systems for the care of patients with complex and comorbid psychiatric illness and building increased access in the community for complex patients regardless of payer. This includes advocating with employers and government to compel insurance providers to adequately reimburse psychiatric treatment at all levels of care and with parity compared to physical illnesses. Dr. Gerber is excited to participate in a collaborative process with other Connecticut psychiatrists to identify how we can improve the mental health system and enhance the care our patients and their families receive. |
